Welcome!
Are you caring for an adult who needs help at home or do you know someone in this situation? Many families find themselves in a situation where they are caring for a loved one who needs assistance due to chronic conditions such as Alzheimer’s, stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, cancer, frailty or any number of other health related issues. If you are assisting a family member or friend with activities of daily living, from simply helping to pay their bills, taking them to doctor appointments and cooking meals for them to more extensive help such as constant supervision and assistance with personal care needs, we are here to help. Southern Caregiver Resource Center (SCRC) has been providing services to caregivers in San Diego and Imperial County since 1987. We are a private, independent non-profit agency and most services are free of charge. Anyone living in San Diego or Imperial County caring for an adult with a cognitive impairing condition that occurred after the age of 18, or someone age 60 years or older in need of assistance with activities of daily living, is eligible for our services.
